One Lyons
A Lyons Democratic Caucus has been scheduled for Monday, July 17 at 7 p.m. at the Lyons Community Center.
We are seeking nominations for 2 positions on the Lyons Town Council each a 4 year term.
We are also seeking nominations for 2 positions for Lyons Town Justices each a 4 year term.
Only registered Democrats may have voice and vote, and only registered Democrats may be nominated at the caucus.
We look forward to the presence of Lyons Democrats at the caucus. Come out and participate in the caucus and show your support for our candidates for the November election.

The Lyons Democratic Committee hosted a Meet and Greet on Wednesday, March 1st at the Lyons Elks Club to honor Joyce Krebbeks on her retirement after 25 years with the Wayne County Board of Elections.
Along with Krebbeks, the following were recognized as well at the event: newly appointed Democratic Elections Commissioner, Gerry Clingerman and Democratic Deputy Commissioner, Kristin Victorious. They assumed their offices on January 1, 2023 for the Wayne County Board of Elections. Newly elected Democratic Lyons Town Council member, Adam Bullock, was also recognized at the event. Bullock was elected in November 2022 to fill a 1 year vacancy position on the Lyons Town Council.
Participants donated a variety of items for the Lyons Food Pantry to address food insecurity in our community. Check out more details and pictures at the website waynecountynydemocrats.org
3 public hearings, before the Town Board, are open from November 30th, until the next town board meeting on December 28th. If your interested, or have any questions, we recommend you attend the next board meeting at the Town Hall, at 6:30 pm (Dec. 28th)
1. Application of Denise Clifford for Camp Karmalita - dog boarding
2. Proposed local law 5 of 2022. A local law to ammend the zoning map of the Town of Lyons, to define certain overlay districts subject to the additional provisions of chapter 165 of the town code of the Town of Lyons (aesthetic preservation)
3. Proposed local law 4 of 2022. Local law to regulate food truck and food trailor vendors by adding a new chapter.
The Lyons Democrat committee is meeting next in January, Monday the 9th, at 6:00 pm. This will take place at the Lyons Public Library.

The Lyons Democratic Committee strives to address food insecurity in our community.
At each of our committee meetings we collect food staples and other pantry items for the Lyons Food Pantry. We encourage all of the members of the Lyons community to donate to the Lyons Food Pantry located at the Presbyterian Church. Let’s strive to end hunger in our community!
