Furniture Industry Shifts Focus to Domestic Production with Rising Tariffs
Coming back from the HD Expo, we saw that one of the most common questions we received was: where is your furniture made?

Sparked by the ever changing tariffs and cost of imported furniture and materials, it was clear to see the largest problem design & purchasing firms are facing, are the import costs associated with Tariffs.

Many of the conversations we are having now, & at the HD Expo were focused on the search for reliable domestic manufacturing partners.

Why is this such a hot topic?

Tariffs may increase the costs for materials like wood, metal, stone & fabric which is often passed on to end consumers. This can lead to a disruption of the supply chains that have been established over years and decades. Tariffs can put a pause on purchasing decisions and delay installation dates. All of these various factors impact holding costs for both new projects & renovations alike.

With all of these tariff related challenges, design & purchasing firms have shifted more of their focus on domestic production here in the United States.

Here at Villa Hallmark we produce all of our furniture here in sunny southern California; & all of our manufacturing partners & vendors are here within a 20 mile radius from our Lynwood facility. The Fountain Grove sofa has a solid wood frame that wraps around the outside back & connects to the platform base. The waterfall seat cushion is paired with a semi-attached inside back. Designed like a sofa-banquette, hybrid originally made for a clubhouse & casual eating area.
