Los Angeles County Teen Challenge
Teen Challenge is a one year, residential recovery program for adults addicted to drugs and alcohol.
Can you imagine walking up to a mirror, seeing something stuck in your teeth, and walking away without removing it? Sounds pretty foolish doesn’t it? But that's exactly what we do when we hear God's word and don't let it change us. Watch today as Teen Challenge of Southern California Executive Director Ron Brown challenges us to let God's Word do its work of changing us from the inside out.
Kelly’s last year of addiction was her darkest. “I ended up in some of the most demonic places,” she remembers. But even in those moments, she clung to her Bible, sensing it was her lifeline. “I always had a Bible. I don’t know why, but I knew it was my source, so I would just hold onto it in a room, literally in a corner. I thought I was going to die.”
It was her mother who finally came to her rescue, taking Kelly to a doctor and then home to recover. Within days, Kelly found herself walking through the doors of Kern County Teen Challenge.
See the miracle of how God rescued and restored her life and make your donation today at teenchallenge.org/Kelly.

What storm are you in today? What feels impossible in your life? Be encouraged: the same power that enabled Peter to step out of the boat and walk on water is still at work. Watch as Teen Challenge of Southern California Executive Director Ron Brown reminds us to fix our eyes on Jesus, reach for His hand, and take bold steps of faith—even in the middle of life’s storms.
Addiction. Homelessness. Despair. These are the realities too many people in our communities face every day. But through the groundbreaking Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV), lives are being transformed.
The RRV is more than a vehicle—it’s a mobile sanctuary of hope, designed to go where others cannot, bringing the love of Jesus to those trapped in the darkest places. Equipped with resources, care, and prayer, it’s a tangible expression of God’s compassion, meeting people right where they are.
For Zech, a dedicated team member of the RRV, this mission hits close to home. “I remember going to a van that looked something just like this,” Zech recalls. “I would go there every two weeks, seeking some kind of help out of desperation. The only thing they could offer me were needles, little bottles of water, and cottons. That was my source of help back then.”
But God had other plans for Zech. “Now, the Lord has placed me in this beautiful vehicle where I get to go out to people and express the joy of the Lord that He has put in my heart,” he shares. “I get to tell people the truth of the gospel—that there is a God who loves them, who made them, and who has put people like me in their lives to say, ‘You are here for a purpose, and you can have a different life.’”
Through the RRV, we’re reaching those who might never walk into a church or seek help on their own.
This , you can help us drive change, one life at a time. Your gift fuels this mission, empowering the RRV to go deeper into our communities and deliver hope where it’s needed most.

In the flood of despair that is devastating lives, Teen Challenge of Southern California stands as an ark of safety, a refuge offering hope and a new beginning. This , we’re calling on friends like you to be a light in the darkness.
At Teen Challenge, it costs just $68 per day to provide a student with access to our life-changing program. Your generosity today is an investment in lives, in futures, and the very fabric of our community.
We’ve set a bold goal: to raise $107,543—one dollar for every life lost to overdose last year. Each dollar helps bring hope to a life on the edge, a chance at recovery, and the promise of a new tomorrow.
