Not only was I visited by many neighbors thankful that I work so well with Lynbrook Mayor Alan Beach and his board to find solutions to their problems, but I also got to meet some our youngest residents, taking advantage of our Child ID program.
Although its been a few years since I fingerprinted anyone, I got right back in the groove and Hempstead Town Clerk Sylvia A. Cabana helped create identifications for kids as they prepare to head back to school!

The Lynbrook Juniors are open to boys and girls ages 12 through 17 and meet the first Sunday of each month at Fire Headquarters, on Wright Avenue, at 10AM.
The Junior Fire Department currently has 45 members. The kids are encouraged to participate in as many department activities as possible. The Juniors train with each company so these potential firefighters gain a complete picture of how each company operates. The children participate in parades with the department, competing for trophies against other junior fire departments. The Juniors also run
COME SUPPORT THE LYNBROOK JUNIORS AS THEY MARCH IN THE NEW YORK STATE PARADE! The Juniors rarely ever get the chance to march in this parade because it's usually far upstate but this years is right here in Central Islip! Support the Juniors as they compete to be the BEST in NY!
Interested in joining? Come down to the August meeting on August 7, 2011! Meeting starts at 10am at the Headquarters Building on Wright Avenue. Come root on the Lynbrook Tumblers this Friday in the tournament, and the Lynbrook FD this Saturday in the Valley Stream parade! :)
