Conveniently located 1 mile north of Bearss Ave, with a drive-way/parking-lot entrance entrance directly on Florida Ave. Back in the '70s, entrepreneur Elvin Gibson recognized a need for a local organization that could repair and maintain various hydraulic equipment. So, in 1974 he and his loving wife Barbara opened Gibson Hydraulics, INC. Today, the company is still family owned and operated by Elvin's son---Jonathan Gibson--- who began working at the shop after graduating high-school in '75. Together, with high standards and work ethic, the family and fellow employees transformed Tampa's hydraulic repair industry in to what it is today. With a combined experience level of over 200 years, we are able to guarantee that we can keep your tools operational no matter what your hydraulic needs may be. is one of the largest full, in-house repair facilities on the Florida coast. With a focus on hydraulics, we have the capabilities to repair, re-manufacture, or source (new) any component relevant to today's market. This includes (but is not limited to): pumps, motors, valves, and various types of cylinders. ALL repairs are rigorously tested using the latest diagnostic tools then, calibrated and fully tested to exceed OEM specifications. Servicing A Rod-assembly
Here, our technicians work to repair a busted rod-assembly using a hydraulic impact-gun. The gun was used to break a nut loose and was powered by one of the portable hydraulic units that our shop makes.
