West Texas matters! And Chairman Scudder agrees.

The Chairman of the Texas Democratic Party, with the Convention coming up this week, made sure to take time and come to visit us here in Lubbock.

Kendall has been transformative for the Party and is working to support all candidates fighting at every level. In just one year he’s worked diligently to righten the ship and set us on a path to taking Texas back.

He has my full support as we go in to convention, and I’m excited for him to continue moving us forward into November- and for the next two years. Vote Kendall for State Chair!

Happy Father’s Day!

This is my second one ever. I’m blessed everyday to have this little boy and to watch him grow (very quickly). He is the reason we started this fight for West Texas and the working class- and fuels the drive I have to make this country better.

Next year we will have a little girl added on to make Father’s Day even more special.

Now I’m off to cut grass after church!

“I will be a father to him, and he’ll be a son to me. When he does wrong, I’ll discipline him in the usual ways, the pitfalls and obstacles of this mortal life. But I’ll never remove my gracious love from him.” 2 Samuel 7:14-15

Kendall has worked hard in just a year to flip the script in Texas- paying our bills, recruiting candidates, fighting for the working class… all while having his first kid (something we both share)!

He’s been a great leader and friend, and I fully support him for his reelection for Chair.

We made our way up to Plainview this morning!

Thank you to Hale County’s Executive Committee for welcoming us at their meeting. We were able to witness the swearing in of two new precinct chairs!

I’m also excited to see Ruben Ramirez Jr. become Constable in Hale County - look out for him on your ballot in November!

West Texas is looking for a different path - led by West Texans who want a future with good wages and profitable family farms. Hale County is ready to take West Texas BACK for the people.

On June 19th, 1865, Major General Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas - finally ending the barbaric practice of slavery in the United States.

Today is a celebration of freedom and perseverance, as we continue the fight for equality for all.

Happy Juneteenth!

We are paying to lose.

This war was chosen for us with no vote, and now we are paying Iran billions of dollars to stop it.

We could fund so much for Americans with the money spent on this failed war. We could uplift so many from poverty- if only we actually focused on the American worker.

When I am elected to Congress I will work tirelessly to reign in Presidential war powers and end AIPAC’s influence.

It’s time West Texas has a real representative that puts West Texas First.
