So now after a year of a useless deck, today they can enjoy their deck, that’s built correctly by someone who knows what they are doing!
This deck is built with composite decking and composite railing.
No warping, No splintering, No staining or painting.
Wash it once a year and enjoy your deck instead of working on it.

Sad but true, this really does happen to people
Got a call from a customer asking me if I would fix their deck as their contractor who started it in October of 2020 started it after taking $8,000.00 of their money and then he quit and left them like this.
It was a mess, not square, not level joist not spaced correctly, support post not in the right places, framing wasn’t ready by any means and he put screws in the top of composite decking and butted them tightly together instead of using spacer clips.
He had no clue what he was doing.
So I took it apart and made it right!

It’s that time of the year again!
Time to protect your home from the cold weather.
Exterior check list:
Clean gutters
Disconnect garden hoses
Shut-off exterior water lines and leave faucets open
Install new door gaskets as needed
Calk any gaps in exterior wood
Check your roof shingles and flashing
Freezing pipes can cause thousands of dollars in repairs
Clogged gutters can cause thousands of dollars in damages
A roof leak can cost thousands of dollars in damages
Along with a huge mess

Decks, decks, and more decks,,,,
This has been a deck year no doubt about it.
We are recieving calls at least 3 times a week for deck work.
However most of the calls this year are coming from people who have let their deck go way to long without any maintenance.
Several people are hoping to find someone with some type of magic product that will save their wood from the need of replacement.
There is no such product that will make an old warped decaying piece of wood to look like new.
And even if there was, you would have to consider the cost of the magic product and labor vs replacing the wood.
On average depending on a few factors a deck generally runs $26 to $30 per square ft to build new with wood.
Composite decking is more but it last darn near forever.
On average a wood deck will need to be maintenanced ever 3 years, with clear coat or stain.
With wood all manufactures recommend nothing is to be put on the wood for at least six months.
This allows the treatment in the wood to have proper drying time.
If you put clear, stain or paint on it before then it will bubble up then it will start peeling and coming loose.
There is no exterior wood that is maintenance free.
