Atone: "At One" to Prosper

In reflecting on the meaning of this holiest of days in Judaism, I ask myself, do we have to be Jewish to benefit from the meaning and the message it provides? The meaning is a universal one, a human one, not just a Jewish one. More specifically, it’s a spiritual one very much aligned with our prosperity work in the areas of forgiveness and release and our oneness in Spirit.

I have written at Christmas about the birth of a new “anointed” consciousness and the importance of being a good receiver as well as giver; at Easter as a time to resurrect our dreams and desires and nurture them with prosperous and life-enhancing thoughts; at Independence Day about our personal freedom from the tyranny of negative thinking and past conditioning.

I feel drawn to reflect on the powerful wisdom that this Jewish holiday provides and ask you to reflect on its meaning for your own spiritual growth and prosperity consciousness.

HEART TO HEART

One day years ago I was driving and listening to the radio. Sometimes I listen to music when driving, but more often I check the talk radio stations to see if there's anything of interest.

That day, I tuned into a talk show with a guest physician who shared something I found absolutely incredible. The topic kept returning to my mind and I was excited to do a bit of my own research and then share this fascinating information. Perhaps you'll find it as stunning as I do.

The radio guest was a doctor who specialized in heart transplants and research. He was sharing the latest discoveries in this research and offered specific real life examples to support them.

MIDDLES...

There’s a quote I came across that I loved so much, I used it at the top of the final chapter of my entrepreneurial memoir. In fact, it gave me the title for that last chapter: “Middles.”

"You're searching, Joe, for things that don't exist; I mean beginnings. Ends and beginnings - there are no such things. There are only middles." — Robert Frost, Pulitzer Prize winning American poet

A well-known psychic once said, "There is no past, present and future...just a continuation of being."

So if we are in that continuation of being - the perpetual NOW - there really is no ending or beginning. There are only middles.

An important part of my teachings is that what we project into the future will remain in the future. Therefore, I recommend that we don't project our desires into the future at all. We can create them, write them, define them, imagine them. But don't project them into the future. The way to attain them is to think, speak, feel and believe them into our NOW. That's right. Be right here, right now, in the middle of your dream, your goal, your vision. That is the magnetizing force that creates.

Color Me Prosperous...

Do you ever wonder why I post my messages so often as colorful graphics instead of just typing them? Well, you may already know my teachings about the scientifically-proven power of the handwritten word. Students of the Feel Free to Prosper program know that's an important component of the lesson homework.

But I have also taught that the subconscious mind is greatly influenced by color. Psychologically, colors impact our feelings, emotions, judgment, and everyday actions. Even in advertising and branding, color subliminally sends hidden messages to consumers. The subconscious mind embraces and responds to color.

If you want prosperity lessons to sink in and be accepted by your subconscious, then color is another exciting tool to help that happen. So the written lesson homework can be done with colored pens. And these colorful graphics that I share with you will also help my messages be accepted by your mind.

So now you can use the expression, "Color me prosperous."

By the way, I was born with artistic talent and was very good at portraiture - I was told I could capture a person's soul in the eyes. But I buried that talent away long ago when I became a businesswoman. So creating these colorful graphics using the digital art and photography of other artists may not be the same as creating my own art, but it does satisfy a certain need to be creative. I have no regrets as I believe that discovering later in life that I had a hidden talent to teach in writing is contributing much more than my art would have done.

WAR OR PEACE?

For the past weeks, as I witness and attempt to comprehend the senseless destruction taking place in Ukraine, my attention wasn’t focused on the countries, details of warfare, political ramifications (as important as they are). I am instead transfixed by the people and overcome with empathy for their plight - the Ukrainians as well as their supportive Russians. I ask myself, what can we do?

Of course, life for the rest of us goes on - and we are just beginning to feel some hopeful stabilization from this pandemic. We go about our business, take care of ourselves and loved ones, and perhaps even feel a bit more gratitude, because, in spite of any situations going on in our own countries and lives, we see that matters could always be worse.

Around that time, I suddenly started craving some raw organic nuts. My favorite brand is Food to Live that I always purchase on Amazon. They always have a large inventory available, but for the first time ever, Amazon showed “Not available.” In recent years I had called the company a few times with product questions, and I recall the reps who answered the phone had Russian accents. The support was always wonderful. Since their Amazon contact was down, I went to their website and found their New York phone number.

It was 4:30 pm here in Los Angeles and the woman who answered had the usual Russian accent. She explained that the issue with Amazon was temporary and would be corrected shortly. Without thinking, I asked her if she and her associates were in Russia or living in the U.S. since the company is based in New York. She told me she was living in Ukraine until a few days before. I spontaneously asked, "Are you in Poland?" She was. I knew it was the wee hours her time - she confirmed it was 1:30 am. She explained that they try their best to be available for customers 24/7.

I was startled, touched, and so impressed. Maria was just evacuated from Ukraine, now in Poland, and at 1:30 am, she was answering the phone for customer support.

This was a profound reminder that there is no such thing as "here" and "there." In Spirit, there is no separation. There is no time and space. As I said... for me, it's not the country. It's the people.

The Universe answered my question. Distant prayer is powerful. Words are powerful. Mother Teresa had the answer...

Mother Teresa was once asked if she would attend an anti-war rally. She replied, "No, but if you have a peace rally, I'll be there."

Think PEACE for Ukraine.

A HOLIDAY STORY: AGAINST THE ODDS

From my online memoir, "Feel Free to Prosper: An Entrepreneurial Memoir of Synchronicity and Guidance."

I learned one of the most powerful lessons of my life one Christmas morning two decades ago when I was held up at gunpoint (actually, an automatic weapon!), An irreplaceable business check for $60,000 was stolen, and the most fascinating details unfolded that were literally against all odds and that later greatly impacted my destiny as a prosperity teacher.

My prosperity teachings and spiritual philosophy champion the use of positive words and ideas only. However, in an apparently negative situation usually lies the seed of a valuable lesson and I decided to share this story with you, hoping that you, also, will embrace the lesson.

PRAYER FOR PROTECTION

It’s time to share this once again...

If you have heard today’s news and feel there is nothing you can do to help, you're mistaken. The thread of humanity that ties us all together allows us to reach out and impact each other in times of need.

Six states in the U.S. need your prayers. In fact, their leaders are asking for them. It's important not to stay hypnotized by the news and devastation, but to turn our attention to the positives of love, safety and healing.

The prayer was written by popular Unity poet James Dillet Freeman for the soldiers of World War II, but it is as powerful today and is beloved by millions. It is also one of two prayers by Freeman that were taken to the Moon by our astronauts.

You can change the wording from "me" to "you" to radiate your own distant prayer or you can send this to your contacts. Many people have reached out to me asking for my opinion and guidance about getting vaccinated. If enough of you want my input and direction, I will offer it. I will share my thoughts, feelings, and opinions, my own journey to find peace and the right decision for me, but I will not make the decision for you. What I can do is help you tap into your own center of wisdom to make exactly the right decision for you - not based on media, controversy, data, or any other outer influence. The right answer must emanate from a far greater plane above all the noise. If there are enough of you who would like me to be your voice of spiritual reason, I will address it.
