Happy World Health Day!!

Happy International Women’s Day! Today and every day, we celebrate and empower women around the world 💪

Struggling to make Bodyblade a part of your daily or weekly routine? We understand. It can often take longer than the 21 days commonly thought to develop new habits. The important thing is to keep moving. Improving your health is a continuous process. We’ll be there with you every step of the way.

We are often asked which Bodyblade model (Pro / Classic / CxT) someone should use. This is an excellent question!
The simple answer is: it depends. It depends on multiple factors; such as someone’s strength, balance, coordination, cardiovascular fitness, desire to be challenged, training goals, and whether someone is using Bodyblade as part of their rehabilitation program.
(If using for rehabilitation, we always differ to someone’s health care provider as they are most familiar with their patient’s history and may want their patient to stay within certain resistance parameters)
Choosing the right Bodyblade model does not depend on someone’s age, s*x, height, or weight. Taking a functional approach to matching someone with the right Bodyblade model is much more important than matching people based on criteria that does not define their ability to use Bodyblade.
Once you have completed a brief self-assessment based on the functional factors mentioned above [strength, balance, coordination, cardiovascular fitness, desire to be challenged, training goals, whether using for rehab] you will want to select the Bodyblade model that provides you with the resistance level you feel best matches where you are and what you want to accomplish.
Generally: The Pro model provides the greatest overall resistance. The CxT model provides the lightest overall resistance. And the Classic model provides an intermediate level of resistance between the CxT and the Pro.
There is a ton of variability and nuance such as modifying flex intensity, duration of each exercise, body position, orientation of the blade, and even the model being used that allows us to further tailor someone’s training to match their ability level and we will expand on this in future posts.
I’m the meantime, please comment down below with any questions or share which model you use!

Bodyblade was created by physical therapist, Bruce Hymanson, to provide his patients with an accessible method of training that will build the body from the center out. This is as true today as it was 30 years ago.

Whether your workout is at the start, end, or middle of your day; you did it, and that is reason enough to celebrate!
Having a proper arm care program is essential for all throwing athletes.
Movements such as the one shown here are great for enhancing shoulder stability while also helping to enhance motor control and coordination.
Preparing the athlete to control both rapid acceleration and deceleration of their body throughout this movement is critical to ensure protection of the joints and aid in injury prevention. The added bonus is increased throwing velocity and improved overall performance.
