No challenge is too big for veterans, and that’s why we weren’t surprised this week when NASA named retired Marine Corps Col. Randy Bresnik commander of the 2027 Artemis III spaceflight.

We’re proud to see Randy, a valued U.S.VETS Houston Advisory Council member and longtime NASA astronaut, representing American innovation and displaying international partnership on this critical mission!

We spent an incredible day in the nation’s capital welcoming the community into the new U.S.VETS Veterans Connection Hub and celebrating the grand opening of a resource center dedicated to helping veterans stay housed, employed and connected through life’s transitions.

Veterans, community leaders, government partners and supporters joined us to mark this important milestone and reaffirm a shared commitment to ensuring every veteran has access to the resources, support and connections they need to thrive.

The Veterans Connection Hub was launched in collaboration with Brighton Marine and with founding support from Fox Corporation, creating a new model focused on prevention, early intervention and long-term stability for veterans.

We’re also grateful for the support of The Boeing Company, Call of Duty Endowment, Northrop Grumman Corporation and Wounded Warrior Project, whose funding helped make this vision a reality.

Our doors are open, and we’re ready to serve. Come connect with us.

It’s a privilege to welcome veterans home at U.S.VETS Prescott’s Fort Whipple on the Northern Arizona VA campus!

This spring, the first residents moved into 23 new apartments in the historic cavalry officer's quarters, framed with wide porches and featuring inviting details including hardwood floors and decorative fireplaces. Another 80 homes are set to open later this month in a new four-story building—completing The Post at Fort Whipple project.

The homes are designed to help prevent veteran homelessness and expand access to affordable housing for formerly unhoused, at-risk, and older veterans in a supportive care setting. Veterans can connect to the services they need, from VA healthcare to support from U.S.VETS, including mental health resources, benefits assistance, case management, camaraderie and more.

As programs and gathering spaces fuel connection for veterans in this new chapter, we’re grateful to be in a caring community of support.

The drive from U.S.VETS Inglewood to LA International Airport isn’t far, but the distance is vast between Robert Barajas’ WWII service and his recent Honor Flight to memorials commemorating the sacrifice of generations of heroes.

Barajas, an Army veteran who also served in the Korean War, was one of three WWII veterans selected by Honor Flight Southland for a trip this month to Washington, D.C. He was among 37 veterans who received an all-expenses paid excursion to the nation’s capital as a thank you and a chance to reflect on his service all these decades later.

Early on a Sunday evening, Barajas and his fellow veterans touched down again in Los Angeles. They were greeted by bagpipes, uniformed scouts and cheering from family and friends, including our U.S.VETS team members.

It was a hero’s welcome home.

We love hearing the buzz of creativity in our new Tinker Tank!

Thanks to the generosity of Harbor Freight, we’ve rolled up the shop doors at U.S.VETS Ventura to a space for veterans and their families to find inspiration. It’s a healing, restorative workshop, where our residents repair, rebuild and rediscover their passions.

From projects large and small—fixing a broken chair, designing outdoor benches, creating something special for a neighbor—we’re learning together, building camaraderie and picking up new skills side by side.
