TODAY IS OUR BIRTHDAY!!! We opened our doors for the first time SIX years ago, today! It has flown by.
We never thought we would open a savory Filipino restaurant, since our focus was B Sweet . But when we heard the Asahi Ramen space was available for the first time in years, we thought maybe we should bring some Filipino Comfort Food to the Westside. We always craved it, but would have to drive to Carson or the valley to get any.
Once we signed the lease, we learned the kitchen was old and falling apart... so we had to fix it all which took time. But during that time, was able to test recipes and dial in her menu of classic Filipino dishes, made a bit healthier. Due to Chef Barb's father having heart issues, Barb and her mother figured out ways to make him the dishes he loved, but leaner, less frief and oily, and with premium cuts of meat. It still had to taste as good as the originals though, and it did!
We got so much love since the day we opened! And we cannot thank our original customers and regulars enough. Yes, WE wanted Filipino food on the Westside, but we found A LOT of people that wanted it too. Covid was tough and made us pivot to shipping our butters and delivery apps, but you all got us through it. So thankful.
We are excited to FINALLY offer some indoor seating again for the first time since the pandemic. Perfectly timed for our birthday :)
Since the day we opened, EVERYTHING on our menu is made in-house, by-hand every damn day. All Chef Barb's recipes are updated versions of what she grew up cooking with her Mom and Aunt. It makes our day to hear how much you all enjoy it.
Some big things will be happening this year for us. We can't tell you all just yet, but want you to know that it is all thanks to your love that we get to grow.
Thank you all for an amazing 6 years so far! Here's to many more. And to our Chef Barb, thank you for bringing Filipino food to the Westside with B Sweet and Big Boi.

IT'S BACK!!! So many of you have already figured it out before we even posted this, but the day has finally come... we are shipping our famous NATIONWIDE again! Just in time for the holidays, too. Makes the perfect gift! Enjoy it on pan de sal, waffles, pancakes, bagels, toast, flip-flops and you can even bake with it!
Orders will go out every Tuesday, so our first shipments will be this coming Tuesday, December 17th. So you should get your orders well before Christmas.

GOOD NEWS!!! We will begin shipping our jars NATIONWIDE again next week! Just in time for the ! You will be able to start placing your orders later this week. Will update this post and post an Instastory when the butters are turned back on.
In this time off of shipping, we made a few logistical updates. The biggest being that we are finally done with USPS and excited to be working exclusively with the fine folks at to insure your Big Boi Butters arrive on time and undamaged.
More updates will be coming in the new year, but for now, we can't wait to get our Ube Butters across the country again.
For now, we will only be shipping our Ube Butters. The Buko Pandan and Ensaymada flavors will ship again soon. They are always available at our Los Angeles restaurant if needed.
