Prior to 2008, we functioned as a loose network of individuals organized around various websites like dontcrush.com and saveEV1.com. We then coalesced into a chapter of the Electric Auto Association. It’s time to make your voice heard. The BUILD America 250 Act includes an unfair and punitive annual EV fee and it’s moving to a floor vote soon.

TL;DR? The House has proposed a $130 annual tax on EVs and $35 annual tax on plug-in hybrids to fund the Highway Trust Fund. While we’re all for EV drivers paying their fair share, this bill is economically unsound and singles out EV drivers.

📢 TAKE ACTION: Your input takes less than 5 minutes and makes a real difference. Contact your reps right now and urge them to vote NO on the BUILD America 250 Act. Click to email or call your local representative: https://win.newmode.net/pluginamerica/dontpunishevdrivers
