Creating a beautiful bedroom that’s serene and comfortable for a restful night.

Here are my design tips in honor of sleep awareness week ;). I start with wallpaper, drapery and a large soft rug. This is a great foundation to create a beautiful cozy bedroom.

Next is the bedding, as it’s the most prominent furniture in the room.  Go for high-quality cotton sheets that feel great on the skin.  I prefer white cotton for the sheets and pillows, and bring in layers with different textures & accent colors.  It can be a duvet cover, or blanket with some texture, and accent pillows with soft luxurious hand.

A custom-made large lounge chair designed to go into a client’s primary bedroom. Big enough to be a cozy spot for reading or watching tv. Testing it while in production, as comfort is key!

Reviewing sketches and design details for a cluster of custom chandeliers to go in the Great Room of a very special project. They are meant to look like strings of statement necklaces hanging from the 13-foot ceiling in the room of a fashion-loving client’s home. I am mesmerized by how the glass globes glow but light source is not visible.

Never forgetting what happened to our beloved Pacific Palisades, a place we call home for the last 15 years. Thank you everyone who checked in. We are doing well and miraculously, our place is standing, but that wasn’t the case for so many, including some clients 💔. The town is certainly not livable, at least not at this moment. My heart breaks for my town and my community (as well as those affected by the Eaton fire), but praying for every displaced family and for a speedy rebuild.
