Project Minnie
Project Minnie is an organization dedicated to helping feed homeless animals with homeless guardians. Food stamps and other aid can't be used to buy pet food.
For many homeless people, there only source of reliable companionship and love are their pets, but they struggle to feed them properly. Project Minnie provides food, reusable water bowls, leashes, harnesses and collars to homeless animals with homeless guardians.

This is Cassius. Project Minnie has known him for 12+ years. He and his dad were best friends and went everywhere together. His dad passed away two weeks ago and he was dumped at the south LA shelter.
We will pay for him to exit the shelter and sponsor him if we can find a long-term foster, or even better, an adopter. He is a high risk for being euthanized because of his age and his temperament in the shelter.
He is a very loyal and loving guy once you get to know him. I know his dad would want more than anything for him to be safe and loved in his senior years. Please spread the word so we can get him out of the shelter and into a warm bed.

It was a busy day with lots of pets on the boardwalk needing food. Chronic homelessness seems to be getting worse again but we're glad we can make sure the pups are fed. Here are a few of the precious souls we got to visit with yesterday.

We owe a huge thank you to Dr. Margie from for coming out and examining and vaccinating more than a half dozen dogs earlier in March. Her compassion for their guardians and her patience with the pups is truly inspiring. Last weekend we distributed an unusual number leashes and harnesses, keeping pups safer and more comfortable. We also distributed lots of food, toys, treats, water bowls, flea meds, and education.
