Bruno is on his way to the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach farmer's market. Today we have brought some fingerling potatoes (Amarosa and Austrian Crescent). This is the first time we planted potatoes and are happy with the results. Our field of sunflowers are just starting to pop; can't wait to share a picture of the entire plot in bloom.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Farm to Table Class from the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach this past Monday. They toured the farm and harvested some organic vegetables for the Fowler Dining Room menu this week. Thanks to Chef Erik for supporting local farmers; thanks to the students for creating an amazing menu highlighting our vegetables.

Harvesting sweet peppers for tomorrow’s Conway Farmers Market. These are Jimmy Nardello peppers best described as - “highly prized heirloom Italian frying pepper famous for its intense, candy-like sweetness and lack of heat. Originating in Basilicata, Italy, and brought to the U.S. in 1887”. They are just starting to turn red but the pests like them as well so I have harvested a few days early.

Last night we fried some Jimmy’s with sweet sausage, onion, squash and a handful of our Sakura cherry tomatoes; tossed with pasta and Parmesan cheese, amazing!
