18X Racing Team

Well they say they run the best before they go…. it’s true. A little set back but we’re not done, we refuse to take any longer than we need to to get back on the track, we’re gonna get the motor figured out and hit the track running. We chose to go to Dog hollow on friday and finished 2nd in the heat, started 6th in the feature, was running third when the the motor lost all power. Sucks to have it happen when you feel like you’re getting the car figured out, but it’ll be less to do with a new powerplant! We will still continue to post updates! IT. DOESN’T. STOP. It’s wash day and that red clay is NO JOKE. That stuff sticks to everything😂 This week we got to swap transmissions for our first home series race with the SCDRA Northeast at Bedford Speedway for $2500! If everything goes well we’ll see everyone there. Then we have a test and tune at Marion Center on Saturday! Tis the season!

🌧️Rain tried to slow us down, but the 18x team doesn’t quit🌧️🏁

After getting rained out on Friday night, we came back Saturday to make it count. The 18x car hit the track for the heat race where we took 6th, battled in the b main and took 2nd, which locked us into the feature where we took 9th and moved up 8 spots.

Proud of the effort, the fight, and everyone who sticks with us through our ups and downs. That’s racing.

Day 2. Track looks good and the sun is shining, we roll out tonight for our heat race along with the feature!

Qualified 14th out of 25 cars. Car felt a little tight so we’re gonna make some adjustments and roll off 5th in the 2nd heat. Taking top 5 to the feature!
