to when Ms. Swallow's Intro to Engineering class finished their Chess Design project. They got to design pieces to the theme of their choice, and then take it through the Engineering Design Process.

Ms. Swallow's Intro to Engineering Design classes recently finished their Castle Design Projects. They designed, created 3D models in Fusion 360, and presented their castles. The students enjoyed creating these masterpieces.
The students will be creating and designing more as we continue this year...

Ms. Swallow's Year 2 and 3 classes had the best day touring LeTourneau University today. A big thank you for hosting us and helping set up our for success!

Ms. Swallow's POE Junior level class is finishing up their robotics unit. The students have built and programmed an robot, where they researched and picked a variety of animals, which they programmed to mimic the animal of their choice. Stay tuned for the videos of them showing off their creations!

In Mrs. Swallow's Intro to Engineering class, students have been working on 3D modeling skills on Fusion 360 CAD software. The students have gotten to design and create their own Christmas ornaments to 3D print and take home!!

In Mrs. Swallow’s Intro to Engineering Design class, students have been busy working on the Puzzle Cube project, where students used the engineering design process to design and create a puzzle. This week, they got to test each other's design to beat the clock.

If you want to test them out, come the PTHS CTE Showcase tonight, 5:30 to 7:30!!

This week in Mrs. Swallow's Introduction to Engineering Design Class, students presented their Design Innovation Projects. They chose an invention and researched how it had been innovated throughout its lifetime. This project helped incorporate some of the soft skills Pine Tree ISD Career and Technical Education has been focusing on this semester. Engineers have to communicate their ideas effectively.

In Mrs. Swallow's Introduction to Engineering Design class, students had a problem solving challenge where they had to take their idea through the design process to transport a soldier safely down a cable line the fastest.

Both classes tied with the fastest time of 1.91 seconds. Talk about speedy Engineering!

Today, in Mrs. Swallow's Engineering Design and Problem Solving class, students were given a design challenge to create an extendable tool to help them retrieve a small item from a hard to reach place on a farm. They used the engineering design process to help them design their tool.
