Just a quick check-in! I still sew on commission, but have officially switched gears to pursue my career as a print photographer. Here's my little man showcasing my latest wool shorties, made from a sweater. I'm totally obsessed with the shorties lately! They're so squishy and show off those adorable baby knees. :-D

Why, hello there! I can't believe I haven't been on here since my son was born. He came just eight days after I posted about those wool wraps, and man has it been a ride. I have mostly stepped back from the sewing table except to sew for my own little dude. I still accept orders and I even have the original two wraps tucked away, waiting for a home. I've been sorely tempted to use them myself, though. ;-) I am not doing any stockings or marketing at this time, but do let me know if you need any sweater longies, upcycled covers, etc. I'm still madly in love with making woolies. :-)

I love making these wool wraps! I even made a scrappy/quilted one for Little Boy. The one on the bottom is available for sale for $20 + shipping. :-)

Today's finished product: an upcycled wool wrap. A pant suit and a jacket sacrificed themselves for this cutie. :-)

Ta da! Wintery diaper covers, complete with woodland critters and a tribal "ugly Christmas sweater" print. Pretty much my favorite fabric of all time. And if you look closely, you'll see snowflake snaps on the one on the left! They will all end up with these snaps, they're just too fun. The one on the left is set at the largest rise and is all "ugly sweater" print. The one on the right is a "halfsie" with coordinating woodland print and set to the smallest rise. :-)

Ooh...what could it be, what could it be? :-P

I have taken a hiatus since becoming pregnant, and have done a lot of thinking and planning. I will be coming back with a revamped set of products, and this time I am working hard at becoming CPSIA-compliant (CPSIA stands for Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act). This means I will be complying to the required federal laws concerning safety with children's items. Most home-crafters do not do this, and many imports do not comply with these standards as well. This extra step will guarantee the quality of my products and set me apart from other home businesses.
The products I will be focusing on are baby clothes (bloomers, pants, bow ties, etc.), cloth diapers, and photography props. Keep an eye out! I will be on maternity leave from "my real job" over the winter and will be working hard at cranking out products before the baby comes and will post picture updates. :-D

I've been featured on a blog! It's a tad embarrasing, because they picked some of my worst and oldest photos to put in the article but I can't complain. Lol. Those were taken during the winter and I just didn't have the proper lighting. Hopefully I will be able to do re-takes soon! :-)
