Violet Ray was introduced to yoga in 2007 and quickly pursed a daily practice that created peace and clarity.
This newfound peace ignited a passion to share yoga with others. Along the way she discovered tools that helped manage stress, strengthen intuition, and heal from the inside out. In 2019 Violet Ray traveled to Bali, Indonesia where she spent a month fully immersed in the culture and philosophy of yoga, getting hands on experience each day for her 200-hour Yoga teacher training. Since her training
she has taught at a trauma sensitive studio, Freedom Yoga, in Longview, TX. Working at Freedom Yoga has provided the opportunity to learn tools, techniques, and language for offering students a safe space. With a strong passion to travel, she later embarked to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala for a Thai massage training course focusing on anatomy, healing touch, and meridian lines. Shortly after, she completed her yoga nidra certification to help guide students into deeper parts of their subconscious mind while working directly with the autonomic nervous system. Most recently, she completed a 300-hour Yoga teacher Training in Sacred Valley, Peru that also incorporated ancient shamanic practices, therapeutic yoga for mental health, and plant medicine. Sound healing has been a long-time passion of hers; through chanting, kirtans, toning, icaros, and learning different sound healing tools throughout her studies, she performs sound therapy classes for clearing stresses, blockages, energetic, and emotional stagnation from a person's subtle energy system helping to balance and harmonize from within. As a level 3 Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master, Violet believes the balance of the energetic body is equally important as that of our physical body. She is devoted to deepening her connection with spirit and supporting people through universal love and light on their journey. Violet is known for an authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and compassion-centered philosophy. Availing herself to continuous philosophical education from various spiritual disciplines, intuitively weaving spiritual growth in her classes, while applying wisdom in a useful and understandable way. She encourages evolution of the physical and spiritual self while sharing healing modalities to help people feel more empowered in all aspects of their lives.
