The FINN dinghy fills the slot for the HEAVYWEIGHT DINGHY in the Olympics. It was designed in 1949 by Rickard Sarby and was first used at the Olympics in 1952 in Helsinki. It has been used at every Olympic regatta since then.

That’s a wrap to the 2026 Finn Pacific Coast Championship - thanks to everyone who came as we sailed with the Stars this weekend!
Next up for the Finns is Euro Masters Championship in Mar Menor, Spain (Oct 17-23) and the North American Championship in Coconut Grove (Nov 20-22)

Anna Broughton got the prize for farthest traveled from Michigan.
2nd day was breezy with up to 12/13 knot gusts in the second race.

1st day finished with three races on the same course as the Star Class. A nice sail back to the club and dinner hosted by Coronado YC and watching videos of Finn international events wrapped up a full day!
Bob Martin, Andy LaDow, and Andy Kern lead the way at 1,2 and 3 after 3 races.
