In honor of Women’s History Month, I spent some time researching the stories of Latina women who helped shape culture, activism, music, and history.
Some of these names I already knew and admired. Others were new discoveries — which honestly surprised me considering I went to school in both Mexico and the U.S.
From Frida Kahlo to Celia Cruz, these women left a lasting mark on the world we’re living in today.
