It's "up to something" season.
Picked up a few new titles to add to my writer's library today. If you've known me for long enough, you know how much I care about storytelling. Its been a long while, but its time to exercise that creative muscle.

✨️In my antiquity era✨️
Work in progress of a 3d printed Gladius as a birthday present to myself!
Printed in PLA on my printer. I'm using a mixture of Bondo spot putty mixed with acetone to make a brush-on filler primer to help hide the layer lines and seams. After this I coated it with some UV resin to help the glossy finish and fill in any imperfections.
Still a ways to go but I can't wait to get this one all painted up!

The big, themed birthday parties are all fun and games until its time to put everything away afterwards (or figure out where to store all the new builds)
RIP to Raphael's sai

More progress on Raphael's sai!
I'm using one of my favorite methods (from ) to fill layer lines: a mixture of bonds spot putty and acetone. It becomes thin enough to paint on with a brush, is thick enough to fill most imperfections, and dries super quick, so I'm able to sand in no time.
Stay tuned for more progress!

Over a month ago I had the incredible opportunity to be the production designer for Zach King's $150k Island Competition!
It took weeks of design, planning, preparation and coordination between my local team in LA and an amazing team on the East Coast.
I'm so proud of the work everyone did to make this idea become a reality. Check the link in my bio to watch the video and let me know if you could've survived the challenges!

Taking a little break from the workshop and decided to make something in the kitchen.
Took a crack at homemade Lbas Bread from Lord of the Rings. This one isn't full of elvish magic but it does have honey, cinnamon, and vanilla.

I've been doing quite a bit of work on my CNC machine this week so for I wanted to show off some of the details on my enclosure for the Xcarve by
It's really nice to have a a dedicated space for the machine, especially one that is well lit and has some sound dampening and dust collection abilities. There is a drawer that holds all of the small accessories as well as compartments near the bottom to hold a vacuum and sheet materials ready to be carved.
If you're interested, I have a full build video up on my YouTube channel! Click the link in bio

Almost finished with the witcher steel sword on this
This project has been a fun little challenge. I've struggled in the past with perfecting a finishing technique for super smooth 3d prints but with this sword, I think I've worked out a way that works best for me. I was always afraid to sand PLA for fear of it melting or becoming gummy, but a light touch, followed by layers of filler primer and a special mix of spot putty and acetone inspired by really worked wonders.
This sword is by no means perfect but its progress and I'm always happy about that!
