Kind of a “ washout” for the club over the weekend with both Davenport Speedway and Benton County Speedway cancelling their race programs due to rain.
Our next event is scheduled for this Wednesday night as the club makes a special visit to the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa for their “ Schools Out” night. Crew Chief Mitch has had this night on his calendar for months and is hoping Mother Nature plays nice this week! It will be an abbreviated version of what we normally do but I don’t think the kids will notice too much. We will have stuffed animals, racing flags, “ coloring pictures for trophies” ( while the trophies last of course) our famous “ dig box” and even some prize giveaways! The Lil Racer Car Club is FREE to all young racing fans under 14 years of age! Our items are FREE to the kids, except for our safety items which we sell at very nominal prices. If any Osky drivers have any panels, gloves, visors or mud plugs they wish to donate to the club to be used as prizes Wednesday night- just autograph them first and drop them by my table. Hoping to greet lots of new kids this Wednesday night!
