Big changes are underway! Lone Tree City Council recently approved rezoning for the Westbrook Entertainment & Sports District, a key step in transforming the former United Artists Theatre site and continuing the vision of the City’s comprehensive plan, Lone Tree Elevated.

So, what does rezoning mean? It updates how land can be used and developed—creating new opportunities for a vibrant, mixed-use destination. Plans for this area may include housing, restaurants, entertainment venues, retail, and community gathering spaces like parks and promenades, all designed to bring more energy and connection to the district.

“This rezoning serves as a catalyst to revitalize the Entertainment District by bringing new life to the United Artists Theatre site while increasing activity and energy for surrounding businesses,” said Mayor Pro Tem Jay Carpenter. “With this rezoning in place, Lone Tree is setting the stage for a more vibrant, connected, and engaging destination for the entire community.”
