April Vickers

My love for music was shaped by my sisters influence in my life. Having a sister 11 years older then me made it so much fun to grow up in the 80’s. The soundtrack of my life was shaped by the best music and I can thank my sister for introducing me to the best! To honor that tradition she wanted to me to make a silk version of the lead singer of INXS Michael Hutchence casket spray. She wanted silk so I could not stress and spend more time with our family. Always thinking of others.
So it’s a “poor girls” replica of the rich and famous casket spray. But I think it was a perfect tribute to the music we shared. Blue Iris and 2 yellow lilies to represent our babies, Madeline Janae, Rikey Nicole. She always sung “You are my sunshine” to the girls .
Madeline made her a needlepoint with the Lyrics in blue and yellow. We had graveside services and the weather was perfect. She was honored by lots of love. I Thank My God for every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3

You were my childhood, my memories, my laughter, my very first best friend. She’s been my encourager, my safe place, my biggest supporter. She was a precious sister and an even better aunt to my girls. No matter how much time passes, I will always feel her absence in my life. Some bonds are eternal. I carry you with me in everything I do.❤️🙏

Senior Sunday.
Last week of being a student at NLHS.
We are realizing the baby girl we once held in our arms has grown into a fiercely independent, kind and capable soul. 💙💚

Senior Sunday!!
When she favors you so much it’s like looking into a mirror at times. This outfit looked so much like my little girl Riley playing to me.

High School Musical 2 and my own little Sharpay💕💕💕💕 She was FABULOUS 🎶🎵🎤
She sang her heart out. Not just technically but emotionally. Fully present. Fully invested in her character.
Sometimes I see glimpses of me in her.
She carries my smile, my fire, my stubbornness and my tender heart.
But shes braver than me. She’s louder in her truth, and unafraid to take up space.
Daughters are so special. And I thank God for mine! I am greatful we got to share this experience with family and friends who have supported her. Witnessing moments important to her isn’t anything I take lightly.
To the mentors, teachers, friends and family who have poured into her over the years, thank you! These chapters were never written alone!
I am so proud of the heart and passion she brings to every stage she stands on! 💙💚
