Tulip bulbs are planted, tucked in for the winter. It’s been another great year growing flowers and I’m well into planning already for next year.
The season is moving full speed towards fall. The sun flowers have put on a good show and the cosmos are looking gorgeous.
High summer, August, means crickets chirping and cicadas in the trees. The flowers are happy and keep on making beautiful flowers and we still have a few months before it’s time to start tucking in for winter.
The flowers are doing amazing, finally. After battling rabbits, deer and birds this year, planting and replanting flowers, it’s a relief to see them doing well. This week meant being able to add the first zinnia’s and cosmos into the bouquets.
It’s so fun to watch the flowers change throughout the season. There’s always something new blooming. This week saw the first of the Dalhia’s, beautiful pincushion flowers and gorgeous snap dragons.
Waded through the mosquitos this morning to collect flowers for tomorrow’s deliveries. The feverfew, bupleurum, and cone flowers are all looking great.
These gorgeous narcissus smell amazing! Spring is the best season.
Spring has sprung and the daffodils are showing off, with the tulips not far behind. These early spring flowers are my absolute favorite. 💐
Infrastructure going in, raised beds and some nice compost to build up so new garden beds. Gardening season 2024 is getting closer.
Attempting some dried flower art. Not bad for a first try.
There was a really cool layer of hoar frost on everything this morning. It’s still cold, and spring is still weeks away, but the sun was warm and the birds were chirping. Seed starting is just around the corner.
Winter has finally arrived in Wisconsin and she’s not pulling any punches. 8+ inches of snow plus more on the way with a blizzard warning for Friday.
The storm before the calm, or something like that. I’m in deep in planning mode over here, getting ready for the 2024 growing season. 2024 flower subscriptions are available now.
It’s a foggy winter day and the garden beds are resting.
