Before you let your furry friend romp in the snow or feast on a holiday meal, know what to do to help keep them safe this winter. #GoodNeighbor

Paw Protection
Ice, snow and salt can affect your pet's paws. Salt can be toxic to pets, so getting pieces stuck between their paw pads can cause harm. Make sure to wipe your pet's paws off after walks or try snow booties to help avoid injuries.

Bundle Up
If you have a puppy or shorthaired dog, consider a jacket, vest or sweater for your dog to play safely outside. Short or no-haired cats may need a sweater indoors to stay warm, too. Limiting the time your pet spends outdoors will also keep your furry friend happy and healthy.

Toxic Treats
Many foods are toxic or harmful to pets. Foods such as chocolate, onions, garlic and tomatoes are toxic to cats and dogs. It's best to leave them home or keep them in a pet-friendly space away from the feast.

Antifreeze Hazard
Antifreeze can be toxic if ingested by pets. The sweet smelling hazard can be deadly if not immediately addressed. Seek the medical care or your veterinarian if you belive your pet as ingested antifreeze.

Car Prep
When traveling with your pet in the car, make sure to secure your cat or dog with a crate or harness. Keep an emergency kit in your car in case you encounter additional winter hazards, and don't forget to check your engine before starting your car β€” cats and kittens, along with other wild animals, are known to crawl under your hood for the warmth.

Pet parents: these simple tips can help keep your animals calm and safe during Independence Day festiviites. #GoodNeighbor

β€’ Leave your pets in a secure room at home if you choose to head outside. Loud noises can frighten animals and cause them to flee.

β€’ Make sure your pets (even indoor-only ones) have I.D. tags with up-to-date information.

β€’ After the celebration ends, check your yard for firework debris and food scraps before allowing pets outside.

β€’ Holiday foods can be unhealthy for animals. Resist the urge to feed your pets table scraps or other foods intended for people. #4thOfJuly #PetSafety #pets

In the summer of 2014 my father and I renovated my first office. He built me my own small office and painted the wall red in preparation for my grand opening in January of 2015. For the past 7 years I made endless memories with both family and friends. My husband asked me to marry him in this office, I spent 9 long months pregnant in this office and my sister found she was becoming a State Farm Agent at this office. Leaving this place behind is bittersweet. I will forever cherish all the firsts I had here.

… swipe for some sappy pics of @jacksonz89 asking me marry him.

Red, white and blue are used in the #Juneteenth flag as a reminder that enslaved people and their descendants are Americans. The flag also represents freedom, new beginnings, and a new horizon for Black Americans throughout the land. #GoodNeighbor

For too long, I carried this story with hurt and shame... which is patently absurd.

πŸ’΅ Like 69% of women who will find out they're being paid less than a male colleague BY a colleague, I was accidentally copied on an email confirming somebody else's raise: a male colleague, who had under-performed me.

πŸ’΅ I stood up for myself and was promptly β€œright-sized,” but most women will NEVER learn they're being underpaid for over-performing.

πŸ’΅ Today is Women's Equal Pay Day: the day in 2021 that women will make what our male colleagues earned as of December 31, 2020 (note this is a aggregated average, with the gap widening significantly for women of color).

WE’RE WORTH MORE. WE’RE WORTH BETTER.
