At Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, we believe in teaching our children the importance of being grateful for the blessings and opportunities they have been given. As we observe Flag Day in the United States tomorrow, we are reminded of the endless opportunities offered in our country and our communities. Everything is possible when we work together!

Meet Rylee from Okaloosa County! π₯ποΈ
Rylee shared that her favorite part of camp was the nightly camp huddle, where campers and staff gather around the fire to talk about the dayβs struggles, triumphs, and special moments together.
These meaningful conversations help build trust, connection, encouragement, and a sense of family that makes camp at Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches so impactful. π

ππ Happy National Best Friends Day from Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches! ππ
Some of the most meaningful friendships are formed at the Ranch through camp adventures ποΈ, cottage life π‘, school activities π, and everyday moments spent growing together.
For many of our youth, these friendships provide encouragement, belonging, support, and memories that last a lifetime. We love seeing the bonds our kids build as they learn, heal, laugh, and thrive together. π€ππ

π βMy advice to Ranchers is find what you love on the Ranch and stick to it. If you don't stick to it, it won't be able to help you. Find a job you love, and find a staff member you trust, and stick with it.β
In the latest edition of The Rancher, meet William, a graduating senior whose story highlights perseverance, growth, and the impact of trusted mentors and meaningful opportunities at the Ranch.
Donβt miss βStick To It,β a powerful reminder of how consistency, support, and determination can help shape a brighter future. ππ

π At Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Cottage Parents play one of the most important roles in the lives of our children.
These dedicated married couples provide far more than supervisionβthey create stable, family-style homes filled with structure, encouragement, guidance, and care. Every day, Cottage Parents help teach social skills, independent living skills, responsibility, confidence, and the value of healthy relationships.
For many of the children we serve, especially sibling groups who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma, Cottage Parents provide the consistency, understanding, and support they need to heal and grow.
The impact they make lasts a lifetime, and we are deeply grateful for the compassionate individuals who answer this calling. π

πποΈ Camp starts next week at Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, and we couldnβt be more excited!
From canoeing π£ and archery π― to arts and crafts π¨, camp gives kids the chance to build confidence, make friendships, and create unforgettable memories all summer long.
Alongside our dedicated camp staff, volunteer deputies help campers build healthy, positive relationships with law enforcement through mentorship, encouragement, and fun experiences together.
Since 1981, our camp motto has been simple and meaningful: βLaw Officers are your friends.β π
