Rain Delay: We will open the greenhouse sale once the rain has passed. That looks to be around 9:30 in our part of Lincoln. The East Campus Discovery Day booths may be a little late setting up due to rain as well. Please give the staff time to get everything in order and then come enjoy the sale and event!

We don't always get great "after" shots because we are often on to the next planting (and the next one after that). But last week we were able to circle back to a garden we helped plant last year during Wildflower Week at Scotts Bluff County Courthouse (made possible by a PlantNebraska Greener Towns grant). And wow, we were blown away by how much this garden has flourished in just one year! It just goes to show, if you plant it, add some persistence, perseverance and patience (and water to establish and some weeding, of course), the results can really pay off! Congratulations to lead volunteer Laurie Zitterkopf and her 4H crew for a job well-done!

All we can say about Wildflower Week 2026 is WOW! Thank you to everyone who turned out to explore the beauty of Chadron, Harrison, Scottsbluff and Gering with us last week. We met so many great people, and had fun planting, learning and adventuring. Due to the lack of rain in western Nebraska, the wildflowers were a little less spectacular than usual, but the company was better than ever!

Special thanks to our Wildflower Week sponsors Schrader Landscape Design and JEO Consulting.
