Had an incredible experience facilitating The Clarity Code and Great Leaders MULTIPLY workshops with Gateway Healthcare Nebraska and their program: Leadership EDGE.
What stood out most was their intentional investment in developing leaders at every level. The engagement, openness, and commitment to growth from the team made these sessions both impactful and energizing!
Organizations that prioritize leadership development create stronger cultures, stronger teams, and ultimately stronger outcomes—and Gateway Leadership EDGE is clearly committed to doing exactly that.
Grateful for the opportunity to be part of the journey and excited to see how these leaders continue to grow and multiply their influence!

Excited to share that I’ve accepted a new opportunity as the Executive Director of Heartland Ridge Care Center (the artist formerly known as "Old Cheney Rehab" 😉).
I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to lead an amazing team and continue serving the seniors and healthcare community here in Lincoln.
Looking forward to building something special together!
And even more exciting news— Pathway Consulting isn’t going anywhere.
I’ll continue providing consulting services and supporting the leadership and team culture development for organizations along the way.
Big things ahead… stay tuned!

Thank you Lisa Garrison Toti and Accura HealthCare!
Grateful for the opportunity to spend time with this incredible group talking about appreciation, recognition, and the kind of culture that makes people want to stay, grow, and give their best.
This is the work that matters. And these are the conversations worth having. 👏

This week’s video highlights one of the most powerful—and often underestimated—leadership qualities: humility.
https://youtu.be/bX3tZ2yRS2E?si=I2ti-qb0yRiUruCZ
Take a listen, then put it into action this week:
➡️ Ask yourself: “Am I truly recognizing the contributions of those around me?”
➡️ Identify individuals that have recently been a big part of the team’s success, and give them the credit.
Because great leaders don’t just achieve results…
They elevate others along the way.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time yesterday with the team at Caring Friends In Home Care —what a great group!
We had some real conversations, many laughs, and leaned into developing skills in leadership and communication :
-The Clarity Code: Master Your Communication
- Making Hard Conversations Easy...ier
- FeedForward: Creating a Culture of Feedback
I LOVED the engagement, the openness, and the commitment to growing as leaders. That’s where real impact starts!

The Leadership Mirror You’ve Been Avoiding 👀
When was the last time you honestly assessed your leadership?
-Not your schedule.
-Not your to-do list.
-Not how busy you feel.
But you.
Leaders are great at evaluating everything—except themselves. We measure performance, outcomes, and others… yet often assume, “I’m doing fine.”
That’s usually the moment to look deeper.
Self-assessment isn’t about criticism—it’s about awareness.
-What’s working?
-What’s not?
-Where are you leading well?
-Where are you avoiding growth?
Because leadership doesn’t improve by accident. It improves when we choose honesty and act with intention.
Your challenge this week:
Take 10 minutes and ask yourself:
👉 What’s one leadership habit I need to improve right now?
Then do something about it.
Small awareness → intentional action → meaningful growth.
That’s the pathway forward.
Your partner in progress,
Spencer

Have you ever felt like you’re working really hard…
but nothing is actually getting easier?
Same problems.
Same conversations.
Different day.
That’s not a people problem.
That’s likely a systems problem.
And without systems, YOU become the system.
Great leaders don’t just work harder,
They build systems that create momentum.
And momentum is powerful—because once it starts, it carries things forward without you pushing every step.

What an exciting and awesome experience I had presenting at the Kansas Health Care Association/Kansas Center for Assisted Living assisted living conference last week!
It was a day with incredible education and interaction. And it started with the hilarity of Nancy Norton.
I’m so grateful for the constant dedication of KHCA to their members, and I’m grateful for my partnership with them!
Now, enjoy some awkward selfies!
