The Speed Ranch

We had the opportunity to go the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, NE. We were blown away by the quality and quantity of cars, engines, motorcycles, bicycles, toys and memorabilia, all things racing. Best of all was the land speed collection. This is the most historically significant collection of cars that we've seen in one place, both rivaling and exceeding anything the Smithsonian has to offer. Pay close attention to the 1st photo which is a panoramic. From left to right is Wayne Jesel's diesel truck, Art Arfon's Green Monster Craig Breedlove's original Spirit of America, and the original Poteet and Main Speed Demon 715. Wow!

Thanks to Got Salt Racing for taking the time from repairing the car to go over the ins and outs of driving the car with Eric. He thought it was really cool!

The picture is of the driver Frank Silva Jr showing Eric how the car works. He was working on the car and stopped and spent a few minutes with us talking about the car.
