What actually drives work wellbeing?

💡 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁! 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟱 𝗰𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Social connection reduces the risk of premature death. It can predict better physical and mental health outcomes and ease stress. Higher levels of connection can also influence health-related behaviors.

We all enjoyed the first session of the ECHO Initiative focusing on High Fidelity Wraparound Case Management. Thank you to Lutheran Services Florida Health Systems and the Florida Department of Children and Families for allowing me to share my knowledge and passion. Grateful to all the participants for joining us!

The remaining sessions will occur on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 am - 11:30 am beginning May 16th, 2023, through November 23rd, 2023.

💡Fun fact: When I travel to other countries, I love to stop at food stores to check out the local chips and candy. As a connoisseur of snacky foods😊, I look for options that we don't have at home.

When in Italy at the WoHaSu, I spotted some spicy ketchup-flavored crisps… had to give them a try! And then I noticed the name on the packaging. I actually brought these chips to a training about Mental Health stigma for a healthy conversation about WORDS MATTER!

Some may say we are being too sensitive? Has someone ever used a word that you identify with in a casual way, and you were offended?!? “you’re so crazy” or “that’s so gay” are just a few phrases that I’ve heard in the past few days…

ECHO Initiative, which focuses on High Fidelity Wraparound Case Management, is funded by Lutheran Services Florida Health Systems and the Florida Department of Children and Families. This tele-mentoring program uses videoconferencing technology to combine brief expert presentations with participants' interactive and practical case presentations. ECHO consists of 8 sessions that will build the skills and knowledge of participants.

I shared my speech at TEDxMiami - it was important to me because I wanted to share my research around how we all need to lean in to support each other to address our mental health crisis.

What I learned is that my message resonated with…everybody. From the organizers to the other presenters to the audience to the stage hands… everyone knows someone struggling and worrying about how to support others.

I'm so grateful to TEDx Miami for giving me the opportunity to share my message. On the rooftop after the event, complete strangers approached me to share their experiences. How amazing it was to let people know they can talk about what's happening in their world.

When someone in your circle is struggling, lean in, not out! This is how we'll solve our mental health crisis!💚🫶
