Addie and Cole
Hi! We are Addie and Cole!
We are a duo that traverses diverse genres including folk, classical, indie, & bluegrass to create unique, original music.
🎻🎹 We also love playing at events and weddings!
I played this song at my grandfather's memorial service.
It was one of his favorite tunes.
And now every time I play it, I still feel him with me.
This is Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar

are you going to scarborough fair?
Cole was up until 5am working on one of our songs for album 2!
This was the first time we listened to it together. (We totally forgot the words to our own song.... 🤦♀️)
Still gotta lay down some vocal tracks but we are almost done with song 3 of 12 for the new album!
What do you think?
working up some new originals!
album 2 is in the works and let me tell you we are excited about these new tunes...
we are leaning into our folk influences on this one and Cole is already busy producing some of the first few songs of the album (he was up until 5am last night with the latest song)
this is a short clip of Daisy Waltz - inspired in part by a baroque violin duet and in part by the Appalachian mountains of East Tennessee
enjoy!

Lyrics:
Climbing up the catalpa tree
That stood here half a century
Just to see what she could see
With scrapes and bruises on her knees
My old Appalachian home
Is a long way off the road
Those tunes repeating from the past
Bring me closer there at last
But I’ve still got a ways to go
To my Appalachian home
Running barefoot through fields so green
Above the Dyer's old ravine
How could her life be so serene
Asks the hedonistic queen
My old Appalachian home
Is a long way off the road
Those tunes repeating from the past
Bring me closer there at last
But I’ve still got a ways to go
To my Appalachian home
Long before screens or shiny things
Evenings were spent on tire swings
And all the birds she’d hear them sing
Together they would spread their wings
In my old Appalachian home
It’s a long way off the road
Those tunes repeating from the past
Bring me closer there at last
But I’ve still got a ways to go
To my Appalachian home
