I’m loving this setup. I have some new quick release rods coming in. I want to try and design an easily removable version.

Front splitter for C4 Corvette.
Made from 1/2” hardwood and follows the body lines of the upper bumper cover. This unit has a weight of 10.2lbs on my test car but have seen some weigh a little more or less. This can also be made at 5.5” oversize and from 3/4” hardwood.

It’s late tonight but I just finished up the splitter. Turned out awesome. I’ll get it on the car tomorrow so y’all can see it. Now off to the start on the chassis mount system that will be used with either a 10” spoiler or a wing. Stay tuned.

Testing different brand wraps to see who holds up the best

For a pure track car where looks don’t matter much, lacquer and done is fine. BUT, for those of us that want it to look nice too, sanding from 220 all the way down to 2000 grit to make it as smooth as absolutely possible is critical to get the wrap to stick properly. This splitter has around 4.5 hrs of sanding time invested already. I’m now on the final stage of 2000. 💪later today we will be testing out a few different wraps to see who sticks the best. Watch for it this evening or tomorrow at the latest.
