It’s a new year….time for new music! 🎶🪕 Who’s ready?! 🤩

Happy Birthday Kentucky native, Patty Loveless! Loveless was raised in Elkhorn City and Louisville. In 1971, she was introduced to Porter Wagner in Nashville. That was the beginning of her career in music. Her first single wouldn't be released until 1986, "Lonely Days, Lonely Nights." In 1988, she became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, the same year that her album, "If My Heart Had Windows" was released. Many times she would climb the charts with her songs. In 1996, she was surprised with trophies for Female Vocalist of the Year from CMA and ACMs.

Loveless’s biggest hit would be "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive," written by fellow Kentucky native, Darrell Scott. In her career, she has released 21 albums, 4 being platinum and 3 gold. She has had 9 #1 hits, and several awards including CMA Album of the Year, Grammy Best Bluegrass Album, American Music Award New Country Artist, and more. She was inducted into the KY Music Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame. There is no other singer out there like Patty Loveless.
