The possible paving of Old Wheatland rd and many others is in the balance and needs you and all your friends to show up to the Board of Supervisors meeting tomorrow at 6 pm. Call 703-777-0200 to sign up to speak, you get two whole minutes to talk about what these historic gravel roads mean to you and how paving them will adversely effect western Loudoun as a whole and Waterford specifically, which is a National Historic Landmark. Meeting is in the Loudoun County Government building 1 Harrison st Leesburg VA 20175. Plum Grove is having a get together at the bar at fireworks after.

Old Wheatland rd Waterford will be changed from rural gravel to pavement if we don’t show up today 4:30 at the old school in Waterford. Put your Velopigs shirts on and let’s go! Don’t pave western Loudoun!

Old Wheatland rd is at risk of being paved very soon. The paving of any road or section of road is not good and goes against one of the things that makes Western Loudoun so great, but this will also severely affect the historic village of Waterford. The vote by the Board of Supervisors is September 13, so please come by the shop and sign, let’s pack the petition with us gravel riding fools and pack the BOS meeting September 13. The petition will be passed around before and after the Velopigs ride this Saturday.
