Just a sampling of American Red Cross of Loudoun and Prince William Chapter volunteers in attendance tonight. We recognized exceptional service and the highest levels of dedication across all our lines of service. We were hosted by a fabulous Morven Park team and ended the night with a heartfelt mission moment from Donna Flory sharing a very personal American Red Cross story. What amazing volunteers we have not just in our chapter, but across our American Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region Thank you for your service!

Your local Red Cross is always there to help those in need.
Early this morning, Companies from the 1st and 4th Battalions along with the City of Manassas were alerted to the 9500 block of Bonair Drive for a reported house on fire.
Units reported fire showing from the roof of a single family house, and quickly went to work extinguishing the fire and searching for trapped occupants.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshals Office.

Today is World Blood Donor Day. Thank you to those who selflessly donate to save those in need.
There is no substitute for donated blood and summer can be a difficult time to collect enough blood to meet patient needs.
Eligible donors can feel good knowing that by donating through the Red Cross they may be helping patients not only in their community but also family and friends across the nation.

Saturday in Manassas, amazing volunteers visited neighborhoods at-risk of home fires and made 42 homes with 185 residents safer by installing 116 smoke alarms and providing home fire safety information. Thank you to these wonderful volunteers and our partners at Prince William County Fire & Rescue System for making such an impact in our communities!

Live now...

Today, we honor blood banking pioneer Dr. Charles R. Drew. As the director of the first Red Cross Blood bank, he innovated a way to collect blood donations through mobile blood donation stations.
But wait, there's more. During World War II, his plasma research helped save thousands of lives on the battlefield. Now, his groundbreaking work is used to treat people with cancer, trauma injuries and even COVID-19.
We're honored to highlight him and his legacy.
