We know that stress has a negative impact on our lives but many of us do not realize when we have reached a breaking point until it’s too late. If you’re experiencing any of the signals below, your body is likely telling you it’s time to chill out.

You’re having anxiety dreams.
If your dreams are short and stressful and end up waking you up or upsetting you, you might be having anxious dreams as a result of anxiety that hasn’t been dealt with in your personal life.

Your skin is irritated.
If you’re breaking out or notice your skin has become inflamed or itchy, that’s your body’s sensitivity to cortisol which is released during bouts of stress or anxiety.

You have chronic headaches.
When you’re stressed, you might be clenching your jaw and not even know it. Additionally, a lack of sleep, water, or quiet time can leave you with hypertension.

You have indigestion issues.
The increase in acid production from stress can lead to acid reflux, indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea. If you notice a change in your digestion, you shouldn’t shrug it off.

Your muscles are tight or sore.
When you’re run-down, stressed, or overworked, you can feel the effects in the form of muscle pain and tightness. It’s a stress response to hyper-stimulation.

You can’t focus.
When you’re overwhelmed, you’re not thinking straight. And the longer you go without taking a break to recharge, the harder you’re making it for yourself. When you’re not sleeping, eating, and processing your mental state on a regular basis, it’s easy for your thoughts to become scattered and unfocused.

Listen to these signals — they’re there for a reason: to remind you to slow down and take a breath when you need it most.

November is , a great time to reevaluate your skincare routine. Aside from stress management, staying hydrated, and avoiding hot water and chemicals, here are a few other tips to keep your skin healthy:

Eat for healthy skin.
Make sure you’re getting enough essential nutrients to protect your skin. Focus on a whole foods diet consisting of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, quality protein, and healthy fats. Avoid processed foods, which can cause inflammation and damage the collagen and elastic fibers in your skin.

Wear natural sunscreen daily.
While many sunscreen products on the market are created with harmful chemicals, there are natural sunscreen options. Look for products that use one of two natural ingredients approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA): zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

Get enough rest.

So, what can you do to get yourself moving all while being in the comfort of your own home? Here are some quick indoor exercises you can do to keep your blood moving and your metabolism revving.

👍 Lunges – Lunges are great to not only increase your muscle mass but also help build up strength and tone your body, especially your core, but and legs. This great exercise will help improve your posture and range of motion.

👍 Planks – this exercise only takes a couple of minutes and no gym is required. Planks help boost mental health and protect your back. It also helps improve the ability to brace your core which is important for everyday activities. Planking has also been known as a great way to reduce belly fat.

👍 Jumping Jacks – A great whole-body workout, this exercise helps improve leg strength, burn calories, increase hip strength, and can improve your overall mobility.

👍 Yoga – Yoga is not only great for your body but great for your mind as well. It allows you to use your core muscles to help strengthen your extremities.

👍 Skipping/Jumping—This exercise is a complete and total body workout that will increase your strength and metabolism, and burn a lot of calories in a little amount of time. It has also been known to bring calmness and help ease both depression and anxiety.
