🚒🚑October Fire Prevention Month Events🚒🚑

The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) strives to provide effective, consistent, and readily accessible fire and life safety education for our residents year-round. Annually we designate October as Fire Prevention Month, and LC-CFRS first responders and community outreach specialists dedicate additional time and resources to increase community awareness about preventing home fires. As we kick off Fire Prevention Month this year, several volunteer fire and rescue companies across the county will host in-person open house and community outreach events as listed below.
In addition to these events, LC-CFRS will be sharing virtual outreach measures to include fun and innovative activities that focus on critical fire prevention measures for children, adults, and special populations. Yesterday evening, a young Leesburg resident came to Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company, Station 20, to make a donation. This young man, Jean Barrett, selflessly donated his allowance savings to a few organizations, including LVFC.

The kindness and compassion exhibited by this young man is a rare, but VERY much appreciated gesture. We are sure his mom and dad, James Barrett are proud parents. We appreciate Jean and his generosity!

It was an honor to support the America's 911 Foundation Inc. 9/11 ride today - thank you for riding and remembering! Today they rode from the Flight 93 National Memorial to Arlington, VA where they will begin again tomorrow morning at the Pentagon and continue onward to the World Trade Center this weekend.
