Our cup at Maverick Charities runneth over and we are at capacity for storage of bicycles! Due to the overwhelming amount of donations from the local community we cannot accept any more donations until we have had a chance to work though the 300 plus used bicycles for the LCPS and other programs that we support. Thanks to all of you it's going to be a huge giving year.

WOW!!! Huge news coming out of KBS Elite camp with Patrick Welch landing on Team USA and USA Cycling at the 2022 World Cycling Championships in Wollongong, Australia! This is a huge honor for KBS program and is clear testament to the hard work put in by all the riders and team bosses Nima and Marc. Patrick will be toeing the line in both the Men’s U23 Time Trial and the Men’s U23 Road Race World. Be sure to tune in to watch the World Championships on September 19th and 23rd to look for Patrick.

A little eye candy for this rainy Thursday! TRANCE X ADVANCED E+ 2 in Starry Night. This 2022 model comes with the all new SyncDrive Pro motor with 85Nm of torque creates powerful pedaling assistance even at low speeds. Lightweight, stiff advanced-grade composite frame with 140mm of Maestro rear suspension and Fox 36 150mm up front. Adaptable to the terrain flip chip feature lets you change the head tube and seat tube angles, along with the bottom bracket height, to fine-tune handling for varying trail conditions and individual riding style. You can choose the low position for fast, aggressive terrain, or high for a more XC-oriented rider position. The range for a single battery charge can vary greatly depending on conditions such as the combined weight of the rider and cargo; tire pressure and tread profile; terrain and elevation changes; road or trail surface; outdoor temperature; maintenance of the E-Bike; and the condition of the battery. With a good guess it will give you 37 miles in the most extreme conditions, 74 miles in good conditions with not a lot of climbing and 118 miles in flat ideal conditions making this E-MTB best in class.

A special thanks on behalf of Maverick Bikes and America's Routes goes out to Jim Harman and Andy Bacon of EX2 Adventures for putting on the best to date "1725 Gravel Grinder". It just gets better every year and Foxcroft School is the perfect venue. Also big shoutouts go to our friends at Bikeknetic and The Bike Lane bicycle shops. Without their manpower, donation of time and money none of this would happen.

Maverick Bikes & Cafe

Hello Bicycle family.

Through an agreement with the Maverick Group, the original staff of Bicycle Outfitters is in place at 32-C Catoctin Circle home to our beloved shop with a new name and a new mission. Maverick Bikes & Cafe is not your average bike shop – it’s 501c charitable organization dedicated to the mission of bikes, bike education, bike safety, bike lanes, youth cycling and racing, and cycling as alternative transportation.

Maverick Bikes & Cafe supports the community. We take your parts and old bikes in donation, you get a charitable receipt. You buy bikes, parts and services from us and all proceeds go to making your local cycling experience safer and better.

Bring us your bike – any bike – and we will help you make it better. You need a bike, we’ve got one: new and used. You bring us your bike questions, we will drop knowledge on you. You have bike needs, from parts to equipment to mechanical and safety questions, we will solve them.
