My very first try at making a Christmas ornament ⭐️

Made from old denim patches I found at a thrift store—carefully cut by someone for a project that was never finished. I like to imagine it was a sweet older woman, who had big dreams of making a really cool jean quilt.

This may not have been what she planned… but I hope she’d smile knowing her unfinished project became something special after all.

I still have many patches left and I’m dreaming up ways to use them beyond the holidays—ideas are always welcome ⭐️

Turning remnants into something meaningful again is the heart of Remnant Made. I can’t wait for my next project!

I love AI — it does a wonderful job with background and lighting. Oddly enough, I always find myself loving the original, unedited versions of my home-sewn ornaments even more. (First photo: AI edit. Second: unedited.)

This year, I am incredibly thankful. My mother faced a potential health crisis, and after biopsy we received really great news — she does not have terminal disease. I have everyone I love here with me this Christmas, alive and healthy. We’ve walked through major life changes, challenges, and tribulations, but we’ve prevailed together and with God.

Pictured is an ornament I made for me and my love 🤍 John has been a Houston Texans fan since he was a little boy (his first love 😂), and this gift meant so much to him.
