Summit Art's mission is to encourage and promote artists and visual arts in Lee's Summit. Art can be purchased in the Hospital Gift Shop.
We provide opportunities for networking, education, exhibitions and recognition for members and the art community. We respect, value and encourage an appreciation for art in an ethical and courteous manner. Our Story
Summit Art is a 501c3 nonprofit, juried membership corporation committed to providing exhibition opportunities, professional development and mentoring within Lee’s Summit and the surrounding communities, and engaging the public through the support and creation of visual art.
Our Vision is to create an environment for visual arts, in which artists can exhibit, sell, learn, interact with peers, build inner confidence, and add value to business and community.
Our Values are to respect, value and encourage an appreciation for art in an ethical and courteous manner.
Summit Art manages the largest art gallery in eastern Jackson County at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Founded in 2004 by a small group of local artists wishing to transform lives and enrich the community through the visual arts, Summit Art became a juried membership-based, 501c3 nonprofit organization. Over the years, by becoming one of the most active art organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area, Summit Art has grown to include over 100 members, and provides exhibitions at several locations.
