You might recognize our 2021 Volunteer of the Year recipient if you attended any of our 13 Lebanon City Markets this summer!

Amy Imboden was recognized at our annual meeting for her volunteer efforts at the Lebanon City Market! Whether it was updating social media with photos and live feeds, planning fun activities for the families that attended, or carrying barriers...she did it all with a smile and so much excitement. Thank you Amy for the big heart you shared with your community this summer!

We sure are!!

The extended season of the Lebanon City Market is scheduled for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2ND from 2PM-5PM. The vendors tell us they have some Fall products for all those fall season lovers out there!

The Lebanon City Market will take place in it's normal location on the Big 4 Trail on Main Street while @lebanon_indiana sets up for Unite Under the Lights, another event in the Heart!

🎉Open till 7!! Last Tuesday Market, *but NOT* the last market of the year!! 🎉🎉
We will have markets the first Saturday of every month till the end of the year!!

Don't miss *THIS SATURDAY*, 4-7PM - History in the Heart ! Market vendors, additional vendors, self-guided tour via a smartphone app (woohoo!!!!) full of captivating history bits that The Heart of Lebanon put together JUST for this, and live music!! 😃

Our art experts will have a landscape out of torn paper mixed with painting of trees for you. While you’re partaking in the art, and our wonderful vendors, be sure to showcase your chalk art ability as well. We’re rolling over our Sidewalk Chalk Contest from last Tuesday’s sauna.

In celebration of National Farmers Market Week, we asked our Main Street programs to tell us why they love their local farmers markets. We heard from organizations across the nation about the incredible impact their markets have had on community engagement, entrepreneur and small business support, and keeping their district vibrant.

Today, we’re sharing a few of our favorite responses from Main Street directors around the Network, such as Charles McCaffrey, Executive Director of Eastern Market Main Street in Washington, D.C., who told us, "Even in the best of times, getting fresh fruits and vegetables in an urban environment can be a challenge. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the farmers market at Eastern Market in Washington, D.C., served as both a lifeline and a symbol of hope for the Capitol Hill community."
