Nancy and I had an amazing time at our latest fundraiser and campaign event Monday night at Cedar Creek Yacht Club! The event was hosted and sponsored by Brooke Hawkins and Lee Ann Cochran - these ladies are absolute rock stars and did a phenomenal job.
We made so many new friends, received wonderful campaign donations, and gathered signatures for my State Senate petition. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us!

Today Nancy and I picked up my campaign paperwork from the Wilson County Election Commission. This is a very exciting day!! Thank you to so many of you for your encouragement, donations and requests for yard signs! It has been my honor to deliver them. We will get this paperwork filed asap and it will be official. Last Friday in North Carolina we gathered and celebrated the life of one of the greatest men I have ever known, Earl Eslinger. I can positively say that I would not be the person I am today without God bringing Earl, his wife Doris and his family into my life. He lived his life honoring God in everything he did, valuing people, bringing them together and loving them right where they are. Everyday of his life he showed all he came in contact with the grace and love of our Lord. I will live my entire life trying to live up to his example. Thank you Lord for his amazing life and I claim God’s promise that we will be together again one day in heaven Earl you got your promotion!

What a great time we had last night at the Gentleman’s Brawl. Thank you Lillian Beretta for the invitation and Sharon Smith and the Standard Club for an amazing night. We had never been to a boxing match, much less at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. So great being with dear friends and making new ones.

Last week I was beyond honored to receive the GSC Publisher of the Year Award. There are many great friends I would have probably never met if not for this amazing organization. Thank you Sheree, Carrie, Jim, Lou and Tim. Sheree you are one of my heroes and Carrie I know you will carry this amazing group on to more great things. God bless you guys!! I feel so blessed!

What an amazing trip to Washington DC with my great friend Cliff Downs made possible by his daughter Whitney Hermandorfer, newly appointed federal judge. We heard a case argued at the Supreme Court and then visited Justice Kavanaugh,Justice Barrett and Justice Alito in their personal chambers. A trip of a lifetime to be sure. So honored to be there.

The first Christmas party of the season kicked things off with a bang! It was the Birthday Girls Annual Christmas Party held at the Lebanon Country Club. So many great friends and amazing food prepared by Gina and Jim from Sammy B’s.
