Service Learning is a high school class offered through Hillcrest Education Center.
Service Learning is a class at Hillcrest Education Center that gives students the opportunity to give back to our community by donating their time, effort and dedication. Our project entails designing, creating, and marketing handmade epoxied pens and tumblers to members of our community. The students learn valuable business skills as they raise money for a cause of their choice. All proceeds from our project will be donated to a non-profit organization in our community.

Our Service Learning students were able to visit Countryside Homes today to help residents get ready for Thanksgiving with fun crafts. Fun was had by all!

May and June were very busy months for us. We made hundreds of pens, 100 cups, 220 key fobs, 40 flags, 100 coasters, and 15 staplers. Here’s a few photos of our creations.

We hate to do this, but it’s time to close ordering for the duration of summer school. We have received our maximum amount of orders! We could not be more grateful for the outpouring of support for our program. We will once again begin accepting orders in August once school resumes! Stay tuned for pictures of our current projects!

🐈 🐕 We had such a great day!! First, we went shopping for much needed items for Claws and Paws. Then, we made a special delivery and visited the animals. A celebratory lunch for such a successful school year followed. Thank you for all your support which allowed us to donate our proceeds to a great nonprofit organization in our community.

Our class was tasked with making personalized staplers for all the staff at Joel E Barber based on their interests. What a great way to celebrate teacher appreciation week. We hope you love them!
