Designed, fabricated, and installed this pair of stainless steel boxes for a 95 359 based off of the factory aluminum boxes. The factory ones were showing their age with cracks and corrosion. We made the sides out of 3/16” 304 and everything else out of 1/8” 304, so it’s safe to say they will stand the test of time. did an incredible job mirror polishing everything and I think he’s really looking forward to the next opportunity to mirror polish stainless steel grip strut from mill finish 😂

Chute liner and dust pipe replacement at this concrete plant. Our guys went over last week and removed the old liners and dust pipe and I went out with them today to install the new, 3/4” thick chromium liners and new dust pipe. As usual, it took a good bit of rigging and wrestling to get everything in place and situated properly. We also welded 3/8” AR400 strips on the back and bottom corner of the pipe where the stone constantly hits it inside the chute to help make it last a little longer.

Quick up fit on one of the local volunteers Chevy brush trucks. Mounted everything where they requested and kept the slide out area totally open and clear for transporting large items. Incorporated fold down rubber flaps on the oxygen pack mounts to help protect the side of the truck when installing/removing the packs from the truck.

Spent last Friday 90’ in the air helping our favorite asphalt plant employees get back up and running.
The head shaft walked in the bearings far enough that it sent the chain into the side of the drag slat and caused mass destruction.
Thankfully they were able to empty all of the asphalt out of the drum and most of the drag before we got there. We removed what was left of the old coupling and hubs, and then installed new hubs. Then we picked up the weight of the gearbox with a crane to help straighten the frame, and fine tuned the alignment with a come-a-long before welding both sides of the frame back together and adding gusset plates. After that we installed the new gearbox, pushed the shaft back together center, re-tightened the taper lock in the bearing, and fired it back up.

Fabricated and installed 70’ worth of powder coated steel railings for my old high school.
Definitely not the style that we would have gone with if we had the choice but there is existing railing on site that the school wanted us to match.
Built in 20’ sections and held together with 1/4x20 stainless fasteners.
Turned out pretty respectable aside from two of the sections that the powder coating shop bowed from what I assume to have been careless handling with a forklift.

We outfitted a pair of brand new matching Chevy trucks for the PA State Game Commission with adjustable shelving and a stationary shelf with hidden storage for electrical components. The communication company doing all the electrical work and the rest of the outfitting will put snap-in vent covers in the 3 holes we added to the cover panel. The adjustable shelves ride on extruded aluminum T-slot. All .190” 5052 and stainless hardware.

More hospital work. The crew and I tore out all the old, rusted steel railings with decades of paint layers, and replaced it with new, brush finished and anodized aluminum railings that we fabricated. This is the first time we’ve had to reuse existing core drilled holes and let me tell you, whoever did the railings the first time around definitely didn’t do us any favors.

Poor and I didn’t even make it into the first day of Fabtech before the rat patrol got us.
But doesn’t reporting a rat (scab) to the rat patrol kinda make you a rat yourself? 🤔
