Beverly Macfarlane as Mayor of Sunset City was part of so many community events! Hope of America, 388th Fighter Wing, Rachel Runyan Park Dedication, Winterfest, Sunset City Fun days, Veterans Day Event and many more!!

Our first week of meet and greets went great! Met at Layton High School and the Davis County Fairgrounds.

All State and County Republican Delegates have the opportunity to meet with all the Candidates for Senator, Legislators and County Elected officials.

I am running for Davis County Commissioner Seat B. My focus will be :
1. Countywide involvement in decision-making.
2. Greater Transparency
3. County Effectiveness

When I ran for Mayor in 2013 I received 75 percent of the vote, but I chose not to run for re-election this year as I have decided to take my experience to help with the issues facing the County.

Unlike other Davis County cities, Sunset doesn’t have a city Manager so that role falls to the Mayor in addition to the ceremonial and oversight duties of Mayor. Like other Mayors, I have overseen city services like Administration, Fire, Public Works, the Judicial Court and the Police. I have also served on the North Davis Sewer Board, Wasatch Front Regional Council, the Council of Government and the Wasatch Integrated Waste Boards.

In addition I served as the Honorary Commander of the 388th Fighter Wing, something that’s been “an incredible experience” for me as I represented all of the residents of Sunset.

Mayor Macfarlane at the U of U flew the F-35 SIMS--perfect landing. A new respect for our United States Air Force. Hats off to our United States
Air Force and the pilots who fly these incredible planes.
