What color was it?

The difference between indoor fluorescent lighting and outdoor sunlight is obvious in these photos taken moments apart. 🤔

Sometimes we can be absolutely sure of what we have seen and when shown a photo, think it has been retouched or altered, but it may not have been. What our eyes see, even in good lighting and without obstruction, and we remember, can be different from what is recorded on film.

So, what may appear obvious in a photo may be misrepresenting the facts simply due to the type of or amount of lighting, or the quality of the camera or recording device.

My question is: "Supplied with an eye-witness account and a photographic record, which should be given more weight, or should they be used in combination or collaboration to form the best representation of fact?"

My point is that you may want to accept that what two people saw and reported differently could both be correct if their viewpoint or position was different.

This is a hard thing to understand sometimes, because we are instructed to follow our heart, or our "gut feeling," in a difficult situation where right and wrong are not easily defined, perhaps the phrase "lesser of two evils," comes to mind.

Where we know "the Lord's purpose will prevail," is also in Scripture.

In Scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6 directs us to,
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (NIV) and when asked about which is the greatest commandment, we find the answer given again in Matthew 22:36-37
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'"

In Jeremiah 29:11-14 God promised to answer prayers from the heart.
[11] For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. [12] Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. [13] You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. [14] I will be found by you," declares the Lord...

So it is correct to "follow your heart," when your heart is filled with the Word of God, because you are essentially relying on His guidance through the Spirit within you to choose.
