📚💙 Laredo ISD Shares Details on Proposed Tax Collection Consolidation
Laredo ISD has announced plans to consolidate its tax collection services with Webb County, a move district officials estimate could save approximately $411,267 annually in operating costs.
According to information released by the district, the projected savings would come from reductions in operational expenses, including personnel, software, utilities, mailings, and other administrative costs. District leaders say the goal is to redirect resources back into classrooms and student services while maintaining strong educational programs throughout the district.
The proposal highlights:
✅ Estimated annual savings of over $411,000
✅ Continued support for students and schools
