The Moultrie cams are still out surveying the deer herds. Got a decent survivor and a handful of small young bucks and does that made it through the season! Already counting down the days to next season. In the meantime, small game is on the clock!

This hunting season may not have been one for a bragging board but it sure was one of my favorites. From family hunting trips at Pheasant Ridge to November snow storms chasing Whitetails, it was still a success. Successful in the hunting woods isn’t always about the harvest but enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the woods allowing for time to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

The Spypoint and Moultrie cameras have been working double time the last couple weeks! Seeing multiple deer on camera in daylight and the hit list is growing! How’s the deer movement where you’re at?

As bow season here in the mitten state draws near and the final adjustments are made each sleep is another day to opening day. Have you found your target buck/s? What’s your setup for the 2025 bow season look like!? I’ve gotten a couple decent up and comers on cam thus far!

Couple of decent fish caught up in the UP a couple of weekends back for a buddy's bachelor party. Lots of Bluegills, solid smallies, pike and a couple of bonus bullheads, needless to say, we ate well all weekend!
